Session 1

The Grow Up Great sessions organized by the Elite Club of Jeddah are a splendid opportunity for kids to enhance their skills and broaden their span of knowledge, in an environment that is well combined by information and activities.
On the 16th of November, another informational and amazing session added to the list of the club’s rocking events. It was organized at an artistically designed place for workshops and events – the Humming tree. The workshop was conducted by a very talented artist and blogger, Kehkashan Khalid. The theme of the session was Creative Writing with special emphasis on story writing and its basic components.
Every child dreams of penning down the canvas of their imagination in words. This session provided step by step guidance as a push start specially for those children who struggle and hesitate to start the story as well as proceed with their stream of ideas. The creation of imaginary characters and their implementation in the story added to the excitement.
One of the highlights of the session was the combined story writing by the whole group of kids. The first sentence was written by Kehkashan herself and the sheet was passed from one child to another who had to add one sentence in the continuity of the story. The train of sentences resulted in a fun filled and interesting story cheering the whole group.
The naughty “Chinese Whisper” game brought about a hustle and bustle which broke the ice among the kids.
Lastly, the lip-smacking brownies sponsored by the Brownie Club were a perfect treat for all with a unique blend of flavours and an amazing texture.
In a nutshell, another amazing session with a great combo of The Elite Club and Kehkashan Khalid to polish creative writing skills.
